Why Login?Logging in allows you to post events, edit existing events, create albums and upload photos to the Gallery, participate in the Arbor by creating new topics or replying to current conversation threads, list your business in the Directory, and more. Keep in mind that most of Powwow Time is viewable by the public and does not require you to login to view it. What is Required in order to Login? To login, you must first register an account with a unique Username that has never been registered here before, choose a Password, provide your current and valid Email Address, and click an Activation Link that will be sent to your email address to verify that the information you gave us is accurate. Once registered, you simply input your Username and Password (or Email Address and Password) and click the Login button near the top of the website. Your browser must accept cookies from PowwowTime.com in order for our system to successfully log you in and begin a user session. If you are having trouble logging in, here are some tips:Did you forget your username or password? Our system can email your username to you or send you a link to reset your password. All you need to do is provide your email address. If you forgot your username or password, click here. Did you forget which email address you gave us when you signed up?Of course, our system cannot send username reminders or password reset links if you forgot which email address you signed up with, but we can manually lookup your account information for you. We will gladly help you if you give us time, please understand that we might not be near a computer on weekends. To request us to lookup your account for you, contact us. Is Powwow Time reloading with a blank login box when you try to login? It could be that an old "session cookie" on your computer is preventing it from downloading a new one, thus preventing a successful login. This may happen for users who have not logged in to Powwow Time since our website was last upgraded and the way it places session cookies has changed. This is not your fault, of course; but deleting your old cookies might fix the problem. For a tutorial on deleting cookies, click here. If you are having trouble registering:Activation LinkPlease know that you will receive an "activation link" by email and that you must click the link before you can login. This email is sent out immediately when you register, but some email servers take a few minutes to a few hours to pass the message on to you. Also, your email provider could mistakenly file our messages into your spam folder, so be sure to look for it there. Username Already RegisteredEach Username is unique and can only be registered once for all time on our system. If someone else has already claimed your desired Username, we regret to inform you that it cannot be reassigned, please choose another. However, if it is possible that you registered long ago and have since forgotten your Password, but know which email address you gave us, click here. If you forgot which email address you used, or if there is another reason you believe the desired Username should belong to you and wish to discuss it with an administrator, contact us. If above automated methods didn't help or if you are not comfortable using automated methods:Some people just don't get along well with their computer or the internet. That's OK. If you simply want help from an administrator or if you suspect that something is wrong with the way Powwow Time is working, contact us. |
